CBN Top 25: 3/18

CBN Staff  |  3/18/13

Before we get to the rankings, here are a couple of notes:

Oregon St. may have had the most impressive outing of anybody this weekend as they opened up Pac-12 play by sweeping defending champ Arizona in Tuscon. However, we only have The Beavers moving up one spot but not any higher as North Carolina and LSU both notched series wins over Miami and Mississippi St, respectively. It was even tough just to have them jump UCLA who swept Washington. Regardless, Pat Casey's ball club has been steadily trending upward since the season started.

– Another team that continues to climb up the ranks is the Ole Miss Rebels. The Rebels jump South Carolina after going into Fayetteville and coming out with two wins despite Arkansas' pitching staff and Mother Nature's Sunday rain.

– As for teams that took a fall, Arizona St. takes a 10 spot dive after dropping two of three at home to New Mexico St. A short drive over, Arizona was swept by Oregon St. leading to a five spot fall.

– Cal Poly just narrowly drops out of this week's poll after losing two of three to Notre Dame. Joining The Mustangs on the outside looking in are Clemson after dropping a series to Virginia and UNLV following a series loss to New Mexico. Oklahoma St., Central Arkansas, and Virginia Tech fill the vacant spots.
