Before we get to the rankings, here are a couple of notes:
– There really is nothing that big to note about this week. The most notable move is LSU jumping one spot over Cal St. Fullerton, even though both The Tigers and The Titans swept their opponents. But to put it simply, LSU looks like the better team. After experiencing its first setback of the season with a series loss to South Carolina, LSU responded with a vengeance and made The Gators – a club that was coming in on a bit of a hot streak – look like they were not even in the same league with them.
– Other notable moves include Florida St. and Oregon St. jumping back into the top ten with South Carolina and Arizona St. falling out. Also, Kansas St. and Troy make appearances in the bottom of the poll in place of Clemson (who lost on Sunday, but still has two more games left with Maryland) and Georgia Tech.
And now this:
|4||Cal St. Fullerton||39-7||3|
|5||North Carolina St.||37-11||5|
MISSED THE CUT: Clemson, Mercer, UNC-Wilmington, Campbell,
New Mexico, Georgia Tech, Ohio St., Sam Houston St., North Florida,
